Three Seeds, One Result

Every case opening is determined by combining three independent values. No single party controls all three — making manipulation mathematically impossible.

A counter that increments by 1 with every case opening. Each opening uses a unique nonce so the same seeds never produce the same result twice.

Step by Step

How a Result is Generated

Follow the exact steps the algorithm takes — from raw seeds to the final skin drop. Every step is reproducible with standard cryptographic tools.

Commit Server Seed Hash

Before you open any case, we generate a random server seed and publish its SHA-256 hash. This locks the server seed — we cannot change it without you noticing.

Combine Seeds + Nonce

When you open a case, we concatenate the server seed, your client seed, and the current nonce to form the input to the RNG function.

Generate HMAC-SHA512 Output

We run the combined input through HMAC-SHA512 using the server seed as the key. This produces a deterministic 512-bit hex string — our raw randomness.

Extract Float Value

We take the first 8 hex characters of the HMAC output and convert them to an integer, then divide by 2³² to get a float between 0 and 1. If the value is unusable we take the next 8 chars.

Map to Case Drop

The float is multiplied by the total weight of all items in the case. We walk the sorted item list and select the item whose cumulative weight range contains the result.
